Dear DiaryWhen we finally get home, I'm exhausted, but Kelly's just getting started. I plonked myself down on the soft carpet and examine the mother-of-all-blisters that is covering what appears to be most of my left foot. Kelly shoots a look of disgust in my direction when she sees me trying to pop it gently, and turns haughtily to face herself in the mirror. I watch her out of the corner of my eye as she examines herself with a strange and scary kind of lust. I'm used to the preening routine, but that look she gets when she sees her reflection, the sultry look she gives herself, will always freak me out.Dear Diary

I urge you to reconsider the advice I've given regarding the Insider piece... I was rather excited at the thought of you redefining it into a serious, mature piece of prose... please, don't disregard it.
